GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE DCLC
CENTER FOR GUIDANCE AND SOCIO-CIVIC SERVICES (CGSS)

It is a common knowledge that guidance operates within the boundaries of different services. Placement, counseling and/or testing being attached to the office name is only a part of the varied guidance services. The Center for Guidance and Socio-Civic Services (CGSS) would positively project a wider scope of identifiable variety of assistance being offered. this will also established a more wholistic approach that will address student needs most especially to individuals who are unaware of the many services of the office and who are indifferent to the real essence of guidance functions.

The Center for Guidance and Socio-Civic Services (CGSS) is a unit within the academic non-teaching department under the Vice-President for Academic Affairs, which provides programs and services necessary for DCLC clientele, faculty and staff through the effective delivery system of the different guidance services namely.

1. Guidance and Counseling
2. Career and Placement
3. Student with special needs
